How It Works

How does SMS guest engagement work?

Each hotel on Guestally gets a dedicated US phone number for hotel text messaging. Guests opt in during check-in (by texting a keyword or via a web form), and the hotel guest messaging software automatically sends personalized messages at key moments: pre-arrival info, welcome messages, mid-stay check-ins, upsell offers, checkout reminders, review requests, and re-engagement campaigns. This is how you automate hotel guest messaging without losing the personal touch.

How does the AI know about my hotel?

You build a knowledge base within Guestally containing your property details like amenities, policies, room types, dining options, local recommendations, and more. The AI uses this knowledge to generate accurate, on-brand responses to guest questions. You can update it anytime and changes take effect immediately.

Can staff review messages before they go out?

Yes. Guestally supports draft approval workflows where the AI generates a response and places it in a queue for staff review before sending. You can also run in auto-send mode for routine messages and draft mode for more sensitive conversations.

How do upsells work?

You configure upsell offers in Guestally (late checkouts, breakfast upgrades, spa packages, local experiences) with pricing. The AI presents relevant offers to guests at the right moment during their stay. Each offer includes a Stripe payment link so guests can purchase with one tap. Revenue is tracked and attributed in your dashboard.

How long does it take to set up Guestally?

Most hotels are fully set up and sending messages within a day. The process involves creating your account, completing phone number registration (A2P 10DLC, handled by Guestally), uploading your property knowledge base, configuring your upsell offers, and placing an opt-in card at your front desk.

What PMS systems does Guestally integrate with?

Do I need any technical knowledge to use Guestally?

No. Guestally is designed for hotel operators, not developers. The dashboard is intuitive, setup is guided, and our team handles the phone number registration and compliance configuration on your behalf.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, new accounts include a 14-day free trial period where you can explore the full platform. At the end of the trial, your subscription begins unless you cancel.

What's included in the phone number?

Every plan includes one dedicated US 10DLC phone number provisioned and managed by Guestally via Twilio. Carrier registration, compliance tooling, and standard message delivery are all included in your subscription price.

Compliance & Security

Is Guestally TCPA compliant?

Yes. Guestally provides built-in TCPA-compliant consent collection (text keyword opt-in and unchecked web form opt-in), automatic STOP/opt-out processing, consent record-keeping, and required disclosure language. The platform will not send messages to any phone number without a recorded consent event.

Is guest data shared between hotels on the platform?

Never. Each hotel on Guestally operates in its own isolated data environment. Guest data (phone numbers, conversations, preferences, consent records) collected through one hotel's phone number is never shared with, visible to, or accessible by any other hotel on the platform.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation. You may request a full export of your guest data within that period. After 30 days, data may be deleted. Guest opt-out records are retained indefinitely to prevent compliance violations.
